CRESN Visitor Day is a hit!

26 Oct , 2012

The CRESN VIsitor Day attendees show their spirit!

Our Charlotte Real Estate Services Network (CRESN) group recently held our annual autumn “Visitor Day” in which all members invited a guest to attend a meeting and learn more about our networking group. The turn out was excellent and, in the traditional CRESN way, much fun for all.

Each guest was treated to breakfast and had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business. The purpose of the event was two-fold. First, we wanted to introduce potential new members to learn about our group and what we have to offer. Secondly, our goal was to bring attention to how our group can help homeowners, sellers, buyers, as well as the community. more!

Member Keith Hudson cools the CRESN crowd

4 May , 2012

Charlotte heating and air specialist Keith Hudson cools the crowd

Long-time member Keith Hudson from Carolina Heating and Air Conditioning recently provided the CRESN members with an excellent presentation regarding the importance of achieving a high SEER rating in your home air-conditioning system.

The efficiency of air conditioners is often rated by the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) which is defined by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute in its standard ARI 210/240, Performance Rating of Unitary Air-Conditioning and Air-Source Heat Pump Equipment. The SEER rating of a unit is the cooling output in Btu (British thermal unit) during a typical cooling-season divided by the total electric energy input in watt-hours during the same period. The higher the unit’s SEER rating the more energy efficient it is. For example, consider a 5,000-British-thermal-unit-per-hour (1,500 W) air-conditioning unit, with a SEER of 10 BTU/W·h, operating for a total of 1000 hours during an annual cooling season (e.g., 8 hours per day for 125 days). more!
